This standard is expanding in basketball classes A-E. The standard establishes functional features, safety and testing methods for basketball performance.

This standard is not extended to basketball equipment for home use or to basketball equipment for the production of ball throws.

3.1.2 Materials and construction

3.1.2.8 The front side of the basketball backboard, machined to the playing field, is smooth.

3.1.2.9 Ring for basketball classes A and B

The wine rings are made from carbon steel of primary grades no lower than St2sp, St2ps, St3ps, St3sp for GOST 380.

The color of the ring may be orange.

3.1.2.10 Basketball net for classes A-D

Threads for weaving, from which the mesh is made, can be synthetic or natural.

The mesh is white in color.

3.1.2.11 Farm for basketball classes A-D

For a basketball set, the design of which allows adjustment of the height of the basketball backboard with a cap and a net, it is necessary to install stop devices at the following height:

- 3050 mm – for basketball greens;

- 2600 mm – for mini-basketball.

After adjusting the height of the horizontal dimension from the basketball backboard to the playing field, it is not necessary to change.

3.2 Security Vimogs

3.2.1 All cut and edges, placed in a wide area of ​​the playing field at a height of up to 2900 mm and not protected by upholstery, must have a rounded radius of at least 3 mm or bevelled.

- with a special shock-absorbing mechanism, the ring does not have to move downward from the horizontal position to more than 30° in line with B.1 appendage B;

- the amount of excessive deformation when testing the ring with the shock absorber is consistent with B.2, addendum B must be no more than 10 mm.

3.2.2.4 The amount of excessive deformation of the rigidly fixed ring during testing must be no more than 10 mm.

3.2.3 Mesh fastening

3.2.4 Device for height adjustment and storage

3.2.4.1 The device for adjusting the height of the basketball backboard and for storing it must be designed in such a way as to avoid unintentional changes in adjustment during use.

3.2.5 Upholstery

3.2.5.1 Upholstery of basketball backboards for basketball classes A and B may be installed in the following order:

- the upholstery must cover the bottom edge and side sides of the basketball backboard at a distance of up to 350 mm from the bottom edge and side edges;

- The front and back sides of the curtain will be covered with upholstery at a distance of at least 20 mm from the bottom edge (division 7).
